Campus Transportation
Many students live within walking or biking distance of the University. If you live in certain residential areas near campus, city parking decals can be obtained. At the Thomas Center, pay $15.00 and present 2 proofs of residence (utility bills and copy of lease), current car registration and a driver's license. Call (352) 334-3280 for more details.
Bicycling is a good way to avoid parking challenges on campus. There are many bicycle parking areas. To protect your bicycle, register your bike with the campus police and invest in a good "U-shaped" bike lock. If you ride after dark, your bike must have a headlight and a flashing rear light. Be sure to review the bicycling laws since UF and Gainesville have strict regulations.
